I'd even be embarrased to be shot by one.

It's a piece of history as a semi-auto junk gun for gang members, pimps, and old ladies. I want to experience that. Have a little junk gun next to all my pretty toys. Do you think the WTB ad in the market place will do any good?

Do you really want to experience a gun either blowing up or falling apart in your hand? You should get a Berretta 950 in .25acp and then you can feel safe shooting it!

I'd rather a Baby Browning - is there really that much of a high risk of injury to my self shooting the gun?

A good choice. In the last month, I've picked up a replica of a Sharps .22 shot pepperbox and a Mossberg Brownie. Both are fun and different mouse guns.

As a former retail gunshop owner, my experience with Raven pistols is that they were an enigma. They worked quite well but the cartridge lacked authority. The one problem we saw regularly was the firing pin nose on the striker also acted as an ejector and it broke off with enough frequency that we kept a small bag of strikers behind the counter. We always sold them with the admonition that as soon as the buyer could afford a better gun he/she should buy one. I don't think Raven Arms, Inc ever intended for this product to be shot thousands of times.

                        Beware the Raven Tony!
Blue P32? Very Cool!. How can I get one? Want to sell it?

On the topic of at hand,, I was recently given a Raven by my mother-in-law. At first I thought I would just sell it. But then I made the mistake of buying some ammo. Several boxes of various manufacturers just to see how it would shoot. Nothing +P. Just tthe standard .25 ACP stuff.

I was also given 40 rounds of old Winchester white box stuff. She only shot 10 out of the box before it went into storage.

I have to say that Raven is fun to shoot. You will not go out and kill any bears with the puny little thing. Raccoons just might wink at you too. But fun all the same.

Now the Raven is certainly not the best gun for long term shooting. The construction is rather plain and looks to have come out of the same mahcine they use to die-cast toy metal cars. But for the few dollars the Raven costs it will get the job done motivating the casual intruder to leave quicker. Very affordable for a gun you will probably not shoot much.

The Raven is staying in the family along with the 40 rounds of ancient ammo and original factory instructions. Too bad she didn't keep the box too.
