Range ammo limitations a problem.

And I'm annoyed that we can't draw from a holster or rapid fire after qualifying like in the past lol

I talked to someone who owns a shooting range and asked him regarding why certain ammos are banned from the range (he doesn't allow lead bullets and steel casing ammos; but everything else is fine, including JHP's or partially JHP/JFP like typical .357 magnum). He told me that it mainly has to do with the metal plates. Certain ammos (steel, obviously) will wear out the plates a lot faster than other ammos. For pure lead bullets, they have to clean up sometimes, and those made the air bad and harmful to body. As for calibers (he doesn't allow anything bigger than .44 magnum), he told me that it has to do with the insurance.

The bad thing with sneaking in ammos then get caught, you'll be banned from that range. I guess the best solution is to go somewhere that allows the ammo you want to shoot.

For pure lead bullets, they have to clean up sometimes, and those made the air bad and harmful to body. .

You can get lead dust from jacketed bullets too. They don't stay intact when they hit the steel backstop. Dust and lead fumes from shooting can be taken care of by filthy big ventilators.

But... there are people who "harvest" the lead and I will guess they take appropriate precautions.
