    What no Hi-Powers?

OMG! My buddy got his Browning Hi-power out and I got to shoot lots of them 9mm bullets outta it. WOW! thats a nice pistol!
So why no Hi powers either for sale or talked about here????
The thing is all STEEL, single action and scarry accurate! And it pointed like my finger...
Who has em? Where can I get one? Man i gotta file my tax return!

    Good to Go

This is the improved design that all the 1911 Fanboys wish they had. Browning designed the high-power with all the needed design changes right before he died. A rock solid pistol. Enjoy!!!

HP is usually never on sale. its one of those prestigious pistol that holds its value quite well. a few members here list them the sales section. 700 for a lightly used gun is a fantastic price. keep in mind that most people here only have less than 200rds down the pipe.

keep your eye out for a use one, and use the $300 for some C&S parts.

I like my 1969 HP a lot! Feeds 147 jhp ammo 100%. But is the most accurate with nato ball.

JMB worked on the design, but he died long before it was finished, it was finalized by Dieudonne Saive.

I like Hi-Powers very much, I own several, but I'm curious what you consider is an improvement over the 1911? I do like the grip configuration, for a large capacity magazine its very comfortable to my hands.

This is in the running for silly post of the year, both for historical inaccuracy and PURE silliness.

OP, see if you can find a CZ75 to shoot. It is NOT a clone, but retains many of the handling features of the BHP, and actually improves on some (slide release and options for DA)............imo.

Ok I will take the hit for silly, but historically not too far off. My apologies all around.

                  Cheers!!

Try a CZ 75. It has better controls and can have a better trigger and sights installed.

I started my Hi-Power journey and along the way decided to get a CZ75 as a beater gun I would not have to worry about scratching. Now I shoot the CZs far more often than the Hi-Powers. Still love the Hi-Powers, just don't shoot them as much as the CZs anymore. Can't go wrong either way, every version of both are great guns.

First time I saw a picture of a BHP I was about 11 & knew what lust was.

IMO one of the most beautiful guns ever.

And, like the 1911, it is much copied. This is my Hungarian DA/SA FEG/Mauser. Shoots VERY well.
Probly more a copy of the S&W M59 but I still like the looks.

My first handgun purchase ever was a Hi-Power .40 cal. It was the "hard chrome" version with the gold trigger.

I did have a CZ75B. Liked it alot till the firing pin popped out cuz the cotter pin holding it in when I was competing in falling plates, had to rent a P89 Ruger to finish. My brother had the original CZ75 back in the early 90s. I wish I could find one of those.
