Jak...are those Wilson Combat Mags? I bought one with my pistol but it won't sit in the pistol correctly ( it doesn't give me that "click" closing sound when I push it in..AND I have to push the mag release button to get it all the way in...Hmmm???) Any thoughts????

Nice pistol! Have fun shooting it.
Be careful putting the slide lock lever back in, the detent tends to be tight when new and it's easy to scratch the frame while reassembling.
You might also want to google "fluff and buff" to get some tips on polishing the feed ramps and few other goodies.

I got the same one as a Christmas present from the wife a couple years ago... it's my favorite pistol. ENJOY!

Yes they are Wilson Combat 47Ds. That is weird, I dont have that problem with my Loaded. Are you trying to insert the mags with a closed slide? If so, I found that it is harder to insert the mags fully, but with the slide locked back, they seat quite easily. A firm bump for me works on a closed slide, I dont need to push the mag release.

Try it with the slide locked back and see if it makes a difference. If not, try some different mags or give Springfield a call.

                    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Nice gun, I have one just like it.
I have two wilson 47d's and I have a hard time getting them past the mag release when inserting them, I either have to bump them pretty hard on the pad or I have to press the release button. Also have a problem using the slide release on an empty mag.

I have 2 Loadeds and both were hard to load mags when new. I took the easy route and had Will OHara polish the mag release and change the mag spring to a lighter version. It is like buttery smooth now! Since you are also in the IE, you should go see him in Corona.

The full length dust cover rail makes a world of difference in the "when I run out of bullets I'm going to beat you to death with the pistol" look that causes bad guys to run in fear, and lesser men to feel inadequate. It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!
