Best 9mm Target Round

Forgive me if it's been posted, but I've tried to search and only saw discussion about the best 9mm HD ammo.

I have been having problems running the Remington Bulk UMC 9mm through my Sig P226, and am trying to find a good, cheap alternative to it short of reloading. I currently don't have the cash to invest in a reloading press yet, and am hoping to get one in a couple months.

So I have been looking around and have a couple brands in mind. I am hoping to buy in bulk at as close to $10 per 50 rounds as possible, and it has to be non-magnetic due to the range rules where I go shoot. I am looking into PMC, RWS, MFS brand. I just found out the RWS 9mm is magnetic, so it's out of the picture.

Any suggestion or information is appreciated, thanks!

I would go to Walmart and grab a box of Federal Champion. I use it in my 226 Blackwater and it runs just fine. But, I would just buy a box of 50 and try it before I spend $ for bulk ammo that you may not be able to use.

Also, what is the problem with the UMC stuff. Just curious to see what the problem is. Also, have you tried any other type of ammo besides UMC? Any success?

Good point on buying a few boxes before buying bulk, I have around 1500 rounds of UMC left and am not sure what to do with them.

I haven't ran other ammo through my P226, so I cannot pinpoint the fault to the UMC yet, but having round approximately 800 rounds through, my P226 has experienced 5 FTE jams and 5 FTF jams. The same ammo has not caused any problem on my P239 other than a bad primer that failed to fire.

Me- I like PMC and MagTech. My SIGs and Glocks like them too.

But the Glocks do NOT like WWB in 9mm sometimes. I no longer buy those.

I suggest you try this stuff out. Its my favorite 9mm load. Its very accurate and is hotter so your gun will cycle much better. Best bang for your buck in my opinion....

That looks like a nice ammo, but prices a little over what I am hoping to pay. After shipping I'm looking at just a couple dollar shy of $270 for 1000 rounds

WWB and Federal Champion. Not one issue whatsoever in the G17. I like to end the day with Winchester Ranger NATO 9mm
