1911 questions MC Operator

I got myself an MC Operator and bought a Wilson Combat Mag for it I believe it's a 47d. The question I have is do this pistols need a break in period. The problem I'm having is that it's jammed on me like 8 times. What ut does does with the Wilson mag the last two rounds only one in the chamber and one in the mag. What it does is the extractor will pull out the spent casing but doesn't fully eject it so the round in the mag trys to chamber but can't because it jams right there with spent casing. It doesn't do it all the time. What I've noticed is that it does it with the Wilson mag. I haven't shot it much with the factory mags. So far I only have 300 rounds through it. Next time I'll go shooting I will only be shooting it with the factory mags will see how it does. Is it something I should worry about. Or is it because the pistol is still to new.

I would be really worried if this happens a lot with the original mag as well. Once you do that come back and update :-). Is that the one with the rail??? If yes, post pictures please. Those things are lovely. Also, break it in a little more

Yeah I didn't shoot it much with the factory mags, because I wanted to keep the Wilson mags my primary mag. So next time around i will only shoot it with the factory mags to see if the Wilson mag is the problem.

I shot mine right out of the box with 47d's and never had one failure. I've put about 1000 round through it since August last year. Its my primary weapon for work. If if keeps having extraction issues I would try changing the spring in the WC mag with the spring in the factory mag. Sounds like its weak. Might want to call Wilson Combat and tell them about the problem if the spring change cures the problem. They will send you a new spring. They have excellent customer service.

Edit... Don't swap springs. Factory is only 7 rounds. Just try using factory mag.

I have the same handgun. Using the included mags and some promags
Never had any issues that you're describing.

my operator hated wilson! but never ever had one problem with chip mags!

1) Check your extractor tension. Doesn't seem like you have enough
2) Is your weapon properly lubed?
3) Try different magazines

Also try different ammo. You have not specified what you have been using.

I shot 100 rnds of Winchester 185gr 100 rnds of Federal 230 gr and 100 rnds of ammo bros reloads 230 gr. I had it jam with the Winchester 5 times 2 times with federal and 2 times with the ammo bros ammo I'm hoping it's just the mag I'm going to buy some chip mags
