I think if you're concerned about that, you need a new hobby.

Get a life!!! They are rioting in Egypt and there is war and conflicts in many nations and you are worried about where display guns are pointing! And then there is famine, poverty and disease. Worry about things that have substance and devote your enery to them.

OMG! I just realized that the barrel of guns being shipped can, like, be pointed ANYWHERE! And they're being jostled! And the trucks might pass schools, or worse, pet stores! Think of the possible disaster! I'll never be able to sleep again!!

A gun is almost always pointing at SOMETHING. My solution: all pistols are displayed on motorized spinning platters. That way, no one is unfairly pointed at more than any other person.

In all the way too many years I have been around guns, I have never yet seen one jump up and shoot someone all by itself.

In the display case, point them anyplace you want. Once it gets picked up, start worrying where the little hole gets pointed.

I don't care for the way they're displayed simply because turning my head sideways to look at pistols isn't something I'm used to doing at gun stores. To me, it says the pistols aren't on display for me but rather for the ease of the employees to pull out grip first.

then ask them to take it out and show it to you.
