It will work, the RAM. Installing a RAM into a mag disco gun will deactivate the mag disco feature w/o a specific spring.

I have the apex kit. I bought it and installed everything myself(and really, really glad I did). The only hard part was getting the rear sight off to install the new plunger. I was horribly sad when I got it back together because the feel and break of the trigger was much better with the stock plunger! So dont even mod that part(skip the hard part!). It goes from a nice crisp break(with stock plunger) to a rounded creepy break(go figure, the plunger is more rounded which makes the break longer)!!! I have not felt a burwell trigger job, or any other stock M&P for that matter, so I have no idea what anything else feels like. Generally this stock trigger pull is absolutely HORRIBLE in the stock form, and gets much better and much more consistant, clean and (dare I say) predictable with the sear and spring kit from apex.

I personally dont like sending my gun out in the mail.... Its just not the greatest option when you can do it yourself(and learn how your gun works).

I've had my gun mailed from Sacramento to Los Osos on a Thursday, everything installed polished and test fired then back in my hands on the next Tuesday YMMV

Yes, Sorry I was referring to the striker block. The trigger bar rolls over this and the firing pin is dropped right? The stock striker block was WAY more crisp than the rounded apex striker block. try it for yourself. If I had a good drift punch or sight tool I would have my stock striker block back on in a second.

I see, well you might be right, as it probably doesnt help the crispness of the break itself, its more the stage in which triggers the break...

Sorry to bring this debate here(hopefully it helps people understand), but I do think it might help the crispness of the break itself. If the striker block is more sharp, it will release more quick, causing a quicker break, right? Seems logical to me...


About randy doing the work - all these parts are more or less "drop in". Cant do much wrong.

I changed the spring to the one that was provided. I used every part that came with the kit.

I also have M&P 9mm and I got myself a APEX tactical RAM. It really does makes big difference on my M&P. So far, my trigger pull is not bad at all so I only got APEX RAM so far. A+++ on APEX Tactical, very easy to install just by watching the video clips from youtube.

Not AFAIK as the break is more dependent on the sear and striker contact. Here's my 9C's USB in Hard Chrome finish and is as crisp as can be.
