Transfers are great, but they add significantly to the cost, especially when we are talking about a $350-$500 gun.
Sadly, transfers are still cheaper than the gas for two trips to Fresno... unless you happen to be driving through Fresno and decide it would be a cool city for a weekend daytrip.
But yes, what we need is for some of the local 07s to jump in on this. As I mentioned before though, most of the 07s that I'm aware of (outside of OC Armory) do not generally carry handguns, either at all, or are extremely limited in selection. People go to them for EBRs, and they wouldn't have the volume in handguns to be able to offer competitive pricing. That was the case with Riflegear when I bought my RIA Tactical. They would occasionally get an RIA 1911 in, but between limited availability, and Riflegear's low volume, they couldn't do it for anywhere near Turners' price, and couldn't even guess at a delivery date.
As much as I wanted to keep my money "in the family", I took their advice and bought it from Turner's.
