    Ruger Security Six

I have a chance to buy a blued Ruger Security Six w/ 2.75" barrel.

How are these, other than being tough as nails, and is $350 a good price or a bit high?

Very reliable and will last more than a life time. I've shot 4 and 6 inch ones but never the little one.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Either buy it or tell me where to get it! I still have the SS 6" Security Six I bought in '87 but, I'm not against the idea of getting another one. Really, buy it and if you don't like it, I'll give you $350 for it. So, you'll only be out DROS and transfer fees.

I bought a 4" private party a few months ago and I absolutely love it. It's a tank! I can't speak for the price though -- I paid $350 and got a couple hundred rounds of .38 special with it, but I also think I got a heck of a deal.

BUY IT, many of the snubby Sixes go for $200 more than that on Gunbroker. Besides all snubbies are fun to shoot and carry easy.

Like everybody else said, BUY IT. I have the 6" blued security six and it's ridiculously heavy duty. $350 is very worth it!!!

I have a 2.75" Speed-Six in 9mm. Very smooth action and great looking. Pachmayr and Hogue still make grips for them and speed loaders are still available.

If it is in good shape, that is not a great price but it is a fair one I think.

                              What he said.

I picked up a 2 3/4" Stainless Security Six last year. It's sort of neither fish or fowl, it's a little too bulky to conceal (although a good IWB rig should hold it comfortably) and it's a little too short for hunting but I got mine for $325 and I figured it would make a good hiking/woods gun. The blued ones are much prettier (IMHO) but maybe a little less practical as a hiking/woods gun. Besides, I've always wanted a nice Six and I haven't been disappointed. It's fun, handles factory .357 loads comfortably, and it just feels nice.
