It would have to be some sort of Ruger factory oddity to get me to pay $350 for a blued security six. I think it's too much.

I've got one in Stainless Steel with the 2.75" barrel. It is built like a tank and it's still going strong. I bought mine back in the '80's when Ruger stopped production and I got mine on sale for $189.00 at Turner's. It shoots GREAT! Pie plate groups at 10 meters is no problem.
I'm not sure of the price but it's definitely a good revolver. If the Security Six is what you're after, $350.00 might be okay, but, a $150.00 more and you can get the new Ruger Revolvers(GP Series).Comment

I own a SS Speed Six in .38 Special and feel the exact same way about it. I keep it loaded with +P. The S6 was built as a .357 mag and simply had a different cylinder installed to limit to .38. This is same gun as Security Six except for the fixed sights.
I think $350 is a good price if the gun is excellent. I am told that my S6 would easily fetch over $400.
Good luck.
