    Glock conversion barrels

    Help me choose a company...

    Been wanting a conversion barrel for a Glock 20 (10mm to 40S&W)

What would be your choice and why?

Please respond to poll and if you have ownership experience please share...

So far, my research has the 6 companies, how long they been in business, where they are made, how they are made, and how much they cost.

    Looking for real world reviews...

    Thanks!

    2 for me

I have experience with LoneWolf....very good.

Here's a GLOCK 20 with a Lonewolf .40 barrel. Runs perfectly. Six inches.

Another Glock 20 with a KKM barrel..also very good. Normal length.

Oceanbob, if you had to buy another who would you go with?

Any failure to feed? Failure to go into battery? Failure to eject?

      Accuracy?

And how many rounds thru each barrel so far?

      reliable enough for SD?

Thanks for voting and the pics.

I've used several different Lone Wolf conversion barrels, and they all worked great.

You can also get them "Blind Marked". There are no markings on the exposed part of the barrel. All markings are very inconspicuous.

ETA* they're probably the least expensive too.

The best thing about Lone Wolf is that you can call them with a question and they will let you speak with one of their smiths and give you good info.

I have a KKM standard length bbl (10mm), not a conversion bbl, for my 20SF. So far so good, quality appears to be excellent just kind of pricey.

                    I'd recommend just buying a Glock 22.

keep 'em coming guys, this is really helpful information...

I will check out glocktalk also.

Lumpia, but you voted for Jarvis?? The whole point is the G20 platform is so versatile (10mm, 40S&W, 357SIG, 9x25) and I want to see if its worth capitalizing on this... especially since 40 is cheaper than 10, or if it's all too good to be true kinda thing...

I have the Storm Lake conversion barrel for my Glock 23 and shot over 800 rounds through it with zero problems. The quality of the barrel is very good - overall the machining is very good but the engraving of the logo and other marks could be better.

I have a LW barrel for my G30 which I use to shoot lead rounds. The barrel is very well made and has much tighter tolerances than the factory barrel. I actually have feeding problems occasionally with the LW barrel whereas the same round feeds perfectly in the factory barrel.

Although, I have a G26 and G19, I purchased the LWD 40-9 conversion barrels for my G27 and G23. For range use, I simply drop in the LWD conversion barrels and use the appropriate 9mm magazines. Each of these barrels have functioned perfectly for a bit over 1k rounds.

I have never experienced any ejection issues with either conversion barrel. Accuracy with the LWD conversion barrels are on par with their G26 and G19 siblings.

Lately, I rarely use the conversion barrels. I mostly run the AA 22lr. kits, now. However, when an extra 9mm Glock is needed for friends and/or family for range sessions, the conversion barrels serve a purpose and fill the need.
