What's stopping you from shooting yours?? Take a day off and go nuts at the range.

Just did the PPT 10 days ago, so technically I can pick her up tomorrow and take her out. But I also have a few more waiting there available this Saturday so I'm just saving myself 2 trips as well as building up the "surprise"

Ahh. I know the anticipation. First time I shot my TRP was this past Saturday. I'm going back this Sunday to try my friend's new scope on his AR.

Off topic. At any rate, I need to start saving for either the G20 or Eclipse. It's the ammo that worries me.

A few 10mm downsides

Its a good round with fantastic lethal ballistics but its expensive to shoot(esp. with ammuniton prices climbing so fast) and there have been several court cases regarding that caliber used for personal defense. It seems that some juries have felt that that caliber was too much of a "man killer" and out of line for defense. Here's one of many links:

I don't plan on carrying this firearm yet. I like that fact that it shoots flatter than other calibers, if I'm not mistaken.

Yep. And I have the rug to prove it. But it was a Colt Delta Elite 10mm, not a Glock.

Well I have a couple of Delta Elites a G20 and a couple Kimber Eclipses. The last Eclipse cost me $929 + shipping and a $50 DROS/receiving fee.

For a stock shooter the Kimber is at least a couple of notches above the rest. For a basis for a customized gun though I'd use one of the Colts without a doubt. The Colt will also hold or increase in value while the others most likely will not.

The G20 is a good gun. The grip is large and not for everyone. It has a lot of firepower if you happen to have some original 15 round magazines, which I do. However even with a 6" KKM barrel, 3# trigger bar and polished internals it can't compete with the stock Kimber for trigger quality or accuracy. JM2c

i like the 10 mm it has a nice lil kick like tha 357mag my next gun is going to be one! nice long range hard hitter .. if i had to buy one well i like the glock in 10mm.. but i dont really like glocks in anyting else.. im a ruger guy ! but if i had the cash i would get a Kimber ... or for 1200 a ruger pc4 Carbine a ruger mk3 and ruger black hawk with 357& 9mm Cylinders but thats what i like ... just get the one u really want ..you cant go wrong2guns:

I heard that the Glocks can't use full spec 10mm rounds. No problems with the commercially available ammo like Federal, but those are not loaded to original 10mm specs.
