    P225 CA legal

So I checked the DOJ list, and it seems there are three types of P225's that are legal for CA. There's the P225 in blued, and two P6's, one imported by Century Arms and the other by PW Arms (which I believe is no longer in business). Are there any other types of P225/P6's out there that don't fit into any of these three categories? The P225...well, it's a P225, and I was under the impression all P6's were imported, mainly from West Germany. I'm scouring the interwebs for deals, and I'm running into some nice looking ones, but I'm a little hesitant to buy because I'm not sure if they are CA legal or not. As long as the gun's rollmarks state that it is a P225, it wouldn't matter what other stamps (or sights) on it, correct? Same goes for the P6, as long as it has the importer's mark?

Correct. As long as the pistol have the marks the doj says it needs then it is GTG. As for PW Arms they are still in business and are still importing guns. Right now they have imported Yogo M57, P6, and CZ82 in most recent history.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

So as long as the gun says P225 on it somewhere, or P6 + CAI/PW Arms, it does not matter if the gun's got night sights, or has say, German police markings?

What if someone refinished it in satin nickel? Would one still be able to go through the process?

Awesome. There's one local to me too, but they wanted $949 for it, before tax and DROS. No thanks...I'll find the same thing cheaper online and have it shipped in.

My West German P225 is my favorite handgun. I've sold my P229 and considered selling my P226 on occasion but never the 225.

Best part is I picked it up for $335.00 shipped about 6-7 years ago before they became popular.

Ouch. I just picked up the P225-9-Polizei (the "German Police Pistol" version) from TopGunSupply for $807 shipped. Had no issue with my FFL yesterday--can't have it for another 10 days though.

Is there a difference between a P225 marked with the German police stamps, and one that isn't? Or are all the ones stamped with the police markings P6's?
