Had this exact problem on my Glock a few months back.
I installed the slide lock lever spring wrong. Check that...

I have just got a brand new M&P9 last weekend and I notice it is a lot harder to load in bullets into the M&P9 magazine than my Glock magazine, which was having the problem with the pistol as I have described.
You mean that you have had a Glock for 5 years and you have never even field-stripped it? Well, once again, just take the 'top' of the pistol off the 'bottom' and refer back to my earlier post (with the diagram) and compare.

Gotta love all the haters just looking for a chance to bash a Glock. Early on it looks like they solved his issue, a worn out / defective magazine was messing up the works. Yet they immediately start bashing the Glock as if the brand has anything to do with. Pure ignorance, plain and simple.

Doesn't matter what brand it is, magazines are eventually going to wear out. That is a fundamental design feature of magazines. They are meant to be dispossable. That is a tough pill to swallow for those of us who are penny pinchers, but it is true. Sigs, CZs, H&KS, all of their magazines eventually wear out from excessive use and abuse. Eventually they have to be rebuilt or thrown out completely.

The laws of nature do not change just because your firearm is a Sig.

Just who, exactly, are the "haters" here? ONE guy made a little joke, so what? And who said anything about "Sigs" and "brands" having anything to do with it? I do believe you may have either read or posted in the wrong thread. Go back yourself, and read through the thread, and then tell me how yours here has any connection to it other than the "Glock" brand.(?)

Moto4fun. He constantly trolls threads related to Glocks. Sometimes the **** get a little old. I think tacticalcity might be confused with another thread.

I'm a big time Glock fan myself.... That said, your point is right on. It's funny to see people say the Glock is "perfect." Nothing is ever perfect. Not even a billion dollar space shuttle......or two.

Well, you've had the firearm for quite some time, and have 2000+ rounds through it, so...

It's not a new gun issue, it's not a new mag issue, it shouldn't be an old mag issue (though there may be a problem). Have you been shooting it often, or was was it sitting around for awhile as you shot your M&P? It only happens on the "first" round of each full magazine, and then the rest of the rounds fire without malfunction, correct? This is a recent problem, and it did not occur in the past, correct?

To all 'first responders' and 'well-wishers' here in this thread: it is painfully obvious that the OP just don't get it. He answered questions (here and in PM) with what one would call 'very questionable' responses and hasn't really done much to report back (or even field-strip the damn Glock, fer Chrissakes!!!!)......I, for one, am not wasting anymore of my knowledge or time. Toodle-eww!

This makes sense. How can you help someone who doesn't supply the necessary feedback for proper troubleshooting. I'm somewhat interested in this thread as I have a G21SF that *might* experience the same problem at some time.

No, I was not confused. I had the right thread. Granted this thread only had a couple and others have had many more. But my comments apply to this thread, as well as every thread containing the work "Glock" in the title. The haters cannot help themselves. The see the keyword "Glock" and they have post something meant to get under our skin.

I didn't name names because I was trying not to single people out. It is rude to do so and it starts become personal when it doesn't need to. But after getting PM'd about it, and seeing several people ask who I was referring to I...I give in.

Cyc Wid It might have been joking, but it is very tired joke that haters love to make.

Moto4Fun went into a sarcastic speal about how he thought Glocks were supposed to be "perfect". Very tired hater rhetoric.

They imply that if you like a Glock you are a mindless fanboy. I don't know about you, but my preference for a Glock is based on a lot of trigger time on Glocks and other firearms, and a careful evaluation of which weapon system best fits my needs. It was anything but mindless, and not some sort of fad. So I get a bit touchy when the haters come along and post a hit and run post when we're trying to help someone with a real and pressing issue.

When you go to the Sig, CZ or Beretta posts you don't see cartoons and sarcastic comments accusing their owners of being brain dead fanboys. Yet those systems have a laundry list of CONs to them...just like every weapon system does. So the antimostity the haters have towards Glocks is really odd. Definately sounds like some sort of inferiority complex to me, and I don't get it.

I am not saying it is the worst sin in the world, just that I find it annoying.
