Having learn that, I think in 99% of the "Every Day Confrontations" (E.D.C. for short), a single reload on a hap cap semi would be enough.

He mentioned he worked in the armored car industry. I work retail so I see them all the time. They're only two types: those wo have there gun barely hanging off a twisted up belt (ready to break), in some cheapo holster (sometimes in an old west quick draw style) or bangin off the side of their butt, or they have their pants tucked into boots, vest being worn over the shirt, loaded for bear.
Every once in a while I'll see a guy picking up cash, with a holster setup that isn't falling off his belt without any wannabe stylings, but not often.

I also like how he felt the need to demonstrate how he reaches into his pocket to remove the tactical lighter and tactical cash.

This guy does serve a purpose, my wife and I are new to firearms, I guess having this guy serve as a warning against changing your last name to "tactical" and making random utube videos is a good thing. ;-)

I didn't watch the video, got the jist from the picture.

For every day concealed carry that is a tad much. However, for competition of training it's actually pretty light.

For a training course (especially a Carbine class where my handgun is my backup) I wear...

1) Nice sturdy gun belt
2) Kydex straight drop holster w/ my Glock
3) Kydex double mag pouch w/ mags
4) Maxpedition rolly-polly droup pouch (not just standing infront of a static target but running and gunning up and down a massive dynamic range so if I drop a magazine during training odds are I'll never find it again)
5) If it is night time then a Kydex Light Pouch and Surefire light.

That is ontop of a plate carrier with plates (to get used to the weight) and at least 5 spare AR magazines, 3 more pistol magazines, a pocket folder, a multi-tool, and an allen wrench stuffed away in it. Not to mention an AR with a 2-point sling, a ball cap, combat boots, chinos or cargo paints, long sleeve t-shirt, oakleys, elbow and knee pads, possibly gloves....

By the time I am done I look like I am ready for WWIII. However, every item comes in extremely handing during training, just as it would during combat. Most if not all could be defined as required to complete the course. Anything I won't be using during the course of training gets left in the duffle bag. The stuff mentioned is actually needed.

For every day concealed carry, the albsolute most I would wear would be a nice sturdy leather belt, a Blate-Tech Eclipse Kydex Holster w/ firearm (eliminates printing), one possibly two single kydex magazine pouches with magazines, and a pocket folder. Trying to hide a light and other things, as much as I would like to would be impossible with most of my wardrobe. Maybe in the a New Jersey winter...but not here. The downside is of course, that the time you actually need something in real life will be the time you left it behind to cut down on weight or improve concealability.

As much as I like the idea of a backup gun, I have yet to find a practical way to carry one. Ankle holsters are either so secure you would never get it pulled in time or so loose you would lose your gun with a brisk jog. I have a hard enough time keeping the primary concealed on my hip, trying to hide a secondary on the belt is a no-go. So a backup gun becomes very wardrobe dependent and rarely practical.

Oh, and yes I do own a Luminox "tactical" watch. Actually a pretty nice watch. Doubles a dive watch, and I do dive just not as often as I would like, and despite being extremely rugged, it is light as a feather. If I am going to be out in the eliments and hot sun, the fancy Tag comes off and the Luminox comes on. One day of training would kill my $1K Tag, but not even markup my $200 Luminox. Not to mention my Tag would be very uncomfortable by comparison. It is going on year 6 and despite MUCH abuse looks and functions like new. Not trying to put too fine a point on it, just saying that a nice tactical watch is a nice "treat" if you can afford it. They do come in handy during a long hot day of training. Then again so would a SWATCH watch. Nice, light, comfortable, durable, and cheaper.

I thought this was gonna be a thread about a belt with a built in grappling hook. Or, like the Asian kid in The Goonies, one that could also spurt out an oil slick to deter a pursuing threat. I'm disappointed.
