Improving Glock's pointability?

Shoot it. If you have other platforms, just know what to expect when you shoot Glock. 99.9% of the time I'm shooting Glock, so no adjustment needed.

ledman, you're shooting left of the target because you don't have enough finger on the trigger. when you pull the trigger, you're actually pushing the gun slightly to the left. try putting more of your finger on the on the trigger.

Thanks for the tip! You are right, I really do not put much of my finger on the trigger for some reason, and the safety built into the trigger on the Glock throws me off a little also. I will definitely give that a try next time I go shooting, possibly this weekend.

Seriously.all this practice, practice, practice advice goes against the old advice of "pick a gun that fits your hands, try it out, shoot it first before buying."

If practice, practice, practice was all that's required...then why so many different flavors of guns with various grips out there.

I love my XD...but had no problem dremeling the hell out of it 1 week after getting it. made the grip circumference smaller and then stippled it with a hot solder gun for grip. LOVE IT NOW.

This doesn't help your particular instance, but the SF versions actually point a hair lower than the standard version. Gotta shoot 45 or 10mm for this, though. Can't comment on the pointability of the Gen4's. It's basically an SF version for the smaller calibers and I'd think it would be similar to the 45/10 SF.

That's bad advise. Why? Because he already has a Glock. Maybe he can afford to spend a few hundred dollars on trying a new gun, but maybe he can't. All us military types know you sometimes have to adapt to the gun you have. If this is what you have, then PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Pay no attention to people who would tell you not to.

My Glock has a tendency to aim up when I put it in my hands. I have to remember to twist my wrist down slightly. You know it's right when you feel your forearm tighten up.

I'd be a little careful about practice, practice, practice. If you're doing something wrong, it will surely get stuck in your brain with all that practice. Find a decent instructor (watch some of the other Glock shooters on the line, ask around, read some books/videos). Take notes. Get it right before you give up on a good gun (I have 4 Glocks) - but get it right, THEN practice a bunch.

That is an excellent point. I can say that since I started shooting I have a little bit of fishing action going on when I push out and now I'm trying to correct it but now I just naturally fish my gun out...

no...I'm not saying going out and buy a new gun. And yes, you can adapt to the gun. But another solution is adapt the gun to you. I was shooting my XD fine, but felt that I had to spend some time getting a CONSISTENT grip after each mag reload because it was a little to large. Being a polymer gun..I just dremelled it pretty good, then sand it down, and then stipple it. BEST THING for ME.
