        Good ol' Gov. Shriver...

I'll be surprised if WalMart still sells ammo with that thumbprint crap...

        Glad I roll my own.

Lots of my money will be going to Cabelas and Scheels in Nevada. It's a fun day trip anyway. Then again, the legal beagles may put the kibosh on AB982 before 2011 ... that would be even better.

State-wide starting February 2011 not 2010. However, for those who have Los Angeles shipping addresses it has been in effect for about a year now. Some city ordinance.

Just out of curiosity, under what grounds would it affect Wal-Mart? Not that I'm completely doubting your speculation, but I want to sort out the differences between the truth and FUD.

Wont happen the law will go into affect. Eventually it will be repealed but that will take some time. Untill then we will be at the mercy of ammo resellers at shops and the gun show. I foresee a price increase as they will say its because of the new law.

I have spoken to a number of Walmart store managers they have told me they will stop selling ammunition. No idea if that will include rifle and shotgun. Walmart cant meet the requirements of the law at all its stores. I dont blame them i doubt they make much money on ammunition. The 9.47$ box of 9mm at WM will be a 15$ box at turners or more.

Oh faaack. Ok.. thanks for the clarification... and here I was, just casually buying em whenever I see em at Wal-Mart. I should buy more next time, but then I do feel bad leaving another fellow gun enthusiast out dry.

Not to sound like a dick, but I doubt that fellow enthusiast feels the same. I have had someone grab up all they had on the shelf 30 seconds before hand and then chuckle about getting the last of it on several occasions. More power to them for getting there earlier than me, but it is still a little irritating. Hoarding comes with the territory though. The only thing I'll snatch up is .45 but the last couple times I have gone they have had a substantial supply and not just a box or two

See plenty on Walmart shelves these days. Boarders are too broke to buy more. Not even sure the law will last with all the pending lawsuits against it.

There's only 1 Wal Mart in my area that still sells ammo. I called the Wal Mart in San Jose and they responded that they, and Mountain View stopped selling not too long ago. Milpitas still sells ammo though.
