Yeah, I know people bag on Turner's Outdoorsman, but I've used them down here and they do $35.

Was it a FTF? If not, this has been disussed previously, and rates and mileage may vary...(legally).

Here's the receipt. I've removed my personal information, the store name, owner name, my DL number, the tag/receipt number, my HSC number and both gun serial numbers. You can clearly see the date of receipt(6/28/10) but it says pick up date 7/10/10.

                Should have been (legal MAX):

                DROS#1 $25
                DROS#2 $21
                PPT Fee(2) $20

                Total $66

Did we finally get it settled that the shop is Guns-N-Stuff? The one on Roseville Road next to the upholstry shop?
I went there once, and was not impressed. I didn't buy anything but not because I noticed illegal fees or anything.

Yes. It's Guns 'N' Stuff on rosevile road off of watt ave. I didn't bother saying anything about the fee's because what's done was done, so I'm never going to go to that store and I'm just going to leave it at that.

                          Kenjimatic,

Obviously you were upset about what happened to you..enough so that you took the time to post. But to simply throw your hands up now and walk away does not help the next victim to these ILLEGAL charges.

My first ever purchase of a gun was a Mossberg 500A for home self defense. I was told by sales rep at the local gun dealers (Fowlers and The Stockade) that the shotgun I wanted was a hard to find, rarely stocked, and now being discontinued. So I bought the a shotgun that they had on hand but was not my choice. I was referred to the second gun shop by the first gunshop, but was never told it was owned by the same owner. A week later after buying the shotgun (still in 10 day wait period) I found the Mossberg that I wanted at Big5 sporting goods for $100 cheaper. I was told by Big5 that they get 2-4 Mossberg 500A every 1-2 weeks and that they regularly went on sell. Oh, I was upset being lied to. I did some web search to find the owner if the store and write a letter of what happened. I then asked for a full refund including the DROS fee. If not, then I will
call my credit card company and open a dispute. I will then report them to BBB.

Don't walk away. Stand up if not for you then for the next person coming. Regardless, if you get your money back or not..you'll tell him that you KNOW you got cheated and he did not pull a fast one on you. That is enough to go back and seek a refund.
