Grease on slide rails

PFTE is the chemical that is patented by DuPont as "Teflon" - it's the basis of Tetra, TW25B and others.

I'm using DuPont Krytox grease for all lubrication on my pistol. Also using it for my AR upper. It makes everything run super smooth.

I use grease on the slides of all of my pistols & oil on everything else.

I clean my gun right after I shoot them so I never found the need to use grease.

Come on, am I the only one using Breakfree CLP? My Beretta 87 Target wouldn't always lock the slide after the last round when I used regular gun oil, with Breakfree it's like clockwork.

I used Militec grease today for the first time.. man... my p226 ran like never before... it was so smooth it felt like the recoil was reduced... simply beautiful. Put 50 rounds in a 1.5 inch ragged hole from 18 yards w/ rapid fire. I'm sold on greasing the rails...w/ mpro7 to clean, weaponshield in the rest of the gun.

I use CLP, or Mobil1 Synthetic on all my slide rails. It is much easier to clean and relube with oil. I don't CCW carry or let guns sit for months at a time.

+5 on Tetra gun grease. I use it on all my rails of my hand guns.

Ok, I went on the website for "Gun Butter" and really liked what I read, but with all the posts for "Tetra Grease" it looks like I'm going to have to give it a try.

I got a polymer frame so oil it is for me.

The reason oil doesn't "attract" grit is because it is gone at room temps in a couple hours. I use tetra on everything.
