Just like crack, after the first hit you can't get enough. You are gonna fall in love with the gun and it's gonna cost you $$$$ in ammo.

There is serious a divide on the fiveseven, but those who own them typically love the gun.

Get some SS198 for defense rounds or hit up Elite Ammunition for some good SHTF ammo. Both are pricey but well worth it. The SS197 is pretty much worthless for defense ammo.

Best place I have found forSS197 is Sportsman's Guide with the club membership.

what unit74 said, I started to have second thoughts about the plastic, etc. then shot it....not much recoil and so much fun. If you haven't yet, check out the fiveseven forums and save up for some Elite Ammo. Congrats, now you gotta get some other fn goodies like the scar, fs2k,.......

I got the black one the spent factory shell said dec ? 2009 , yes I was a little worried a about it being all plastic, but I love my Glock and I love the feeling of super sonic round, thats why I love shooting my 357sig (but for SD .45 for sure). Ammo prices suck for what it is, but then I tell my self there's amost nothing like it so **** it

It's a plastic frame with metal rails, and a metal slide with a plastic sheathing. It's metal where it counts.

I recommend picking up some SS195 for defense, if you plan to use it as such - otherwise get whatever you can and go have a blast. They're a hoot to shoot, and I like my IOM.

Only tips I can give you is start to search online for bulk ammo deal. I have been wanting of years, but even I can pass the part it cost $1k, the ammo isn't easy to find local shop. You can order online, but it has to be bulk ammo to make it worth. Either way, good job on the new purchase. Post the picture and your range review here when you got the chance.
