I only have one gun......under my pillow. An 870 on my side of the bed in the corner, an 870 clone on my wife's side of the bed in the corner and another 35 in the safes. One gun and two hands? I don't understand, lol. I would not sleep well with no guns under the pillow.

I had a similar incident. My shotgun was out of my posession for a few days and I felt naked without it. Even with 2 defensive handguns and a rifle under the bed.

Suks 4 u. Try to buy an emergency C&R 870 tomorrow off a fellow CGNer or just borrow a gun from a friend until yours gets back, at which point buy many more guns.

On a more serious note..... Who here ever had to actually protect him/herself from a home invasion? Judging by some of the comments in this thread, it seems that there is a bit of paranoia out there. Sorry if that offended somebody, but this may just be something to think about: at which point am I no longer cautious/protective but rather paranoid about something?
