For compact frame Glocks, I like the Hogue. For larger frame models and sub-compacts, I like the Agrip (http://www.brookstactical.com/). Try as many as you can and get what works best for you.

+1 for Talon Grips. About $10 per gun. I have 'em on my G17 & G22.
They give a nice firm feel and look good against OD Green.

Yeah I went through the gallery but there are so many pictures and no descriptions of what is what.

How rough is the texture on those? Is it like the skate board tape? Or is it softer than that?

I use the Pachmayr Slip On grips, nice, reasonably thin and rugged.

I like bicycle inner tube with a small build up of electrical tape in the areas that need it. Since you can cut it to size you can make it look pretty decent as well.

I like TruGrips as well. For my preference though, I pre-buffed it a little bit because I don't like super tacky. I also left off the back strap piece to make weapon manipulations a little easier. If you ever wear gloves while shooting, it can feel like your hands are glued to the gun!

This is a pic of a Robar grip reduction & chop. In this case, it's a G17 that was chopped down to take G19 mags and also reduced.

It depends on how big your hands are and how long your fingers are. I have relatively short stubby fingers. Every slip on grip I have tried adds too much girth the grip and makes the gun difficult to hold onto. The tape grips don't appeal to me becaus I know my personality, eventually I would given into the urge to pick away at them. So I prefer to leave it stock. Instead I upgraded my sights to night sights, added an extended magazine release, and an extended slide release all of which made controlling the firearm much easier. I also added a recoil buffer insert, a thin cusion that slips into the front of the gun inbetween the slide and recoil rod/spring. Other than that, I did not see much need to trick out my Glock. It performs perfectly like it is right now.

Basically skateboard tape, but it mellows a bit after awhile.

I also like the Talon grips.

They have similar texture to skateboard tape, but the grit does not come off easily. One grip goes for $9.99 shipped, and they ship from AZ.

The manufacturer recommends using 120 sandpaper to smooth it out if the texture is too rough for you.

Ivory, stag and some of the nicer woods all make great grips for handguns.
