                1911 isn't a gun manufacturer.

If you're already biased then what's the point of soliciting arguments?

Sig: Complete crap as a company, but have amazing triggers if you like DA/SA. After a gun fight, you must remember to decock, which is essentially a post shooting safety to make the gun safe. Not for me.
Glock: Best combat gun on Earth (IMO). Very reliable. Best combat trigger since it's a constant, deliberate trigger pull. Get into a gun fight? No worry about flipping the safety off, or re-engaging the safety afterwards and it's still completely safe if left stock.
1911: Awesome guns. If you have one for SD or HD, you must practice shooting it so much so that flipping the safety off is second nature. Did I say second nature? You should do it so much that you flip the safety on any gun wether it has a safety or not. Muscle memory! Personally, I don't want to shoot every gun like a 1911.
HK: Again, awesome guns. The HK45 is the best DA/SA gun avail IMO. Very reliable, but again, that darn DA/SA trigger which I just don't feel is good for a defense gun.

My opinions on guns go by the trigger platform alone. Glocks aren't necessarily the most comfy guns, but they're the best combat/sd/hd trigger avail. They're incredibly accurate and reliable and have a low bore axis for very controllable recoil.
