For you guys that have seen the MagPul video, Costa does an excellent demonstration of this using an M&P and Beretta so it's not Glock specific but rather the angle where the mag is inserted.

I am able to do it with my M&P, but it requires a really hard slam of the magazine at a particular angle. With normal mag inserts it doesn't do it, but my M&P is new, so maybe it will break in and become easier.

My XD doesn't seem to do it, but I haven't really tried too hard.

This happened to me a few times at the range. I can never duplicate it at home. For me it just happens.

Just brought home my new G17 on Sunday and I can get it to this too. Both my G19 and G17 do it under specific conditions. Gun tilted to the right (about 45 deg) and the new mag slammed in hard. It seems to be physics to me.
