Welchers Gunshop in Tacoma , WA just rec 5 CBobs 02/03/2010. From what I understand, there are 4 left as of 1:20 pm Wed. Don't know what model year they are but worth a call. Also don't know what caliber but still worth a call.

Edited to add that it's been confirmed late 2009 models and .45 acp and also cheaper than Bud's from what I hear.

called welchers...3 left as of 9 this morning...but they are running 1200 and like i said, i think i would rather go with a kimber or something else for that price.

i just don't think a price raise like that is justified...but snooze you lose right

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you wanted a CBOB given your original post, my bad. BTW, $1,200 is not a price raise. They list for $1,191 and have been this price for some time. The 2010 models are $-400-$700 higher. Those at Welchers are 2009 models and have not raised them to the 2010 price. Some people have gotten them cheaper but that's due to smaller margin charged by the shop. That's just the nature of business. I got my PM7 for $200 cheaper than what other places charge but I got lucky. Ever wonder why the gun is hard to find? It's because people are buying them up. Why do you think that's happening? I guess I'm just not the type to buy something everybody and their mother has just to save $100. Just trying to help. I'm sure you will be happy with your Kimber.

I bought mine a couple of years ago for 850 OTD. One of the best purchases I have made. I think the current price is a fair price for what you get. Not a great deal like it has been in the past. For me to drop that much on a new handgun it would have to be everything I was looking for at the time. I usually do not buy new handguns now though, anything that is 20 plus years old and from a good manufacturer will only go up in value from here on out.

The price raise on the cbob is the exception to price raises on new firearm purchases, not the rule.

I have a Kimber, I'm waiting on a DW CBOB, the CBOB is made much better then the Kimber, Does this mean the Kimber is not a good gun, no it just means the DW is a better gun, all hand fit, and better parts. Will I still use my Kimber, you bet, I'll even use it for HD and trust it, I have not shot the DW I'm getting yet but I will say the same thing about it.
Yes I paid more for my CBOB then if I had gotten it last year, but oh well I wanted it I was willing to go as high as I felt comfortable with and I still got it at what I feel is a fair price. Thats the bottom line.

Thieves are the lowest form of life out there, except for liberal politicians, of course, but that's redundant.

New or used? What year? Are you familiar with DW break in procedures? These are VERY important.

Rack it(200 times+), strip it, clean it, lube it, and shoot it. Worked perfectly for me.

That is exactly what I did and had shot over 500 rounds without any problem.

Congratulation Holiday! You did excellent considering all the price gouging out there for this gun.

Mine gave me some trouble, but I sorted it out. I think mine is 2006 vintage...either way, those were fit really well and some of the newer ones aren't as tight...for instance I have a newer PM7 that the beavertail doesn't fit as nicely on.

To think I couldn't give my cbob away 2 years ago for $750.
