Why is it so hard to rack the slide? Does it just take practice? Checked one out at Turners in Pasadena today, might get one for hanukah :P Also how much of an impact does it make having a polymer frame vs a metal frame? The only gun they had that was ambidextrous was a polymer frame and it just felt to light (I'm left handed and have trouble with the slide release) is that going to effect anything like recoil and accuracy, how big how little?.

id get anything but a cz. I have no idea why people like them so much to be honest. The cz's I have shot weren't that much harder to rack then others but it was fairly stiff. -
why again is a light gun bad? recoil is more to do with the slide weight and the the design of the gun, accuracy is the shooters problem most of the time!Comment

i've heard that alot from cz owners. if you're lefty i think that you can get XD's in lefty...or they're switchable...not exactly sure.sigpic

I don't have a hard time racking the slide of my 3 cz's. I own the 75, sp01 and p01. I do notice tho that the slide is short in height and the is a major difference in all the other gun designs.
I have harder time racking the slides on my Les Baer my springfield custom shop 1911.Comment

My two most fired pistols are CZ 75B and P-01. Both have slides that are of shorter height, but never really had difficulty using them in various training.Comment

I personally love the design and function of the CZ-75 series of pistols. I don't currently own one, but I've got a Baby Eagle which is basically the same thing. It's an awesome pistol, and I think everyone should have some type of CZ-75 variant in their collection.
That's definitely the way to do it. No other method gives you the same leverage on the slide.Dom

I love the CZ-75 design. I have a CZ-40 and a Baby Desert Eagle. They shoot well and just feel good in my hand. Since you are trying to get one for Hanukkah try and find a Baby Desert Eagle. These are made in Israel I believe.
They make a fine weapon.Comment

Since you are a lefty sling shot the slide instead of trying to use the slide stop. Release the mags with your middle finger of you shooting hand. MarkComment

I did the same, but it was harder than any of the S&Ws, Glocks, and Sigs.
Still have 26 days, but Happy Hanukah as well.
