    Hmmm.
I live over the hill inSanity Cruz, a few blocks from the bay and fog and don't have rust problems.
I lightly lube and wipe down everything in my safe once a year or individually as needed after a shooting session.
Even the corrosive commie ammo hasn't caused bore problems here after just a basic disassembly and cleaning.
I did have a Winchester 1400 shotgun that was the exception and I constantly battled the beginnings of surface rust. It is happy in
    Phoenix, Arizona now.
I guess some blued steels are more resistant than others.
I do use good car wax on my nice, older blued Smith revolvers.

I agree about the wax thing. I done it for years on both guns and Knives works a charm.

Yeah, just be aware of this, I've seen it happen several times now. A good wipe down before you put away your item will help keep it safe.

I've seen actual finger prints rusted into blued surfaces.

They're OBVIOUSLY defective. I recommend that you transfer the guns to me for proper disposal. OR you can do what I do...I take my guns, get some axle grease and a foodsaver....good times...

Nah, here's a serious solution http://www.rustysrags.com/ I just purchased an 30 year old Colt that looks like it was just minted in Hartford yesterday and the owner used one of these Rusty's Rags....good stuff.
