I dont know about the TEC 9 but the AP-9 made by Kimmel was extremely reliable. My brother had two and they never jammed and were never cleaned.. I was always shocked to hear that the Tec9 jam, when the AP9's were soo reliable??? Make sure its actually a TEC9, becus some people just call them that but it could have been a AP-9. Just like when people say they have an AK.

My TEC DC-9 was awesome; ran perfectly reliable and was cheap back then ($109). I chose not to register it and sold it out of state before the last ban. Kinda wish I had hung onto it.

TEC-9 is banned 2X in this state. It is banned by name and by features (pistol with mag outside of the grip). $300 is way too much to lose your freedom over.

I consider it to be cheap junk.

What a story: some dude has a FA Tec-9 for years and tries to sell it off for $300 in great state of California! Reminds me of folks who buy homes from elderly people only to find a FA Uzi behind a water heater.

Maybe you should let him know. If your really his friend, you should tell him that thing is a felony and should be treated as if it's radioactive while in California.

Also the TEC-9 was/is a pretty horrible POS, IMHO.
