yeah, this state is nuts, like living with a schizo dictating your life.

Since January 1st six revolvers and one semiauto rimfire pistol were added to the roster without anything being removed.
After today we will find out if its the addition of centerfire semiauto pistols that triggers the 3-for-1 crap again.

We don't need to wait to find out what will happen, it is already in the new law. It was the whole point of the new law. Revolvers and rimfires don't trigger the 3 for 1 rule. Centerfire semi-auto handguns defined as "safe" by the new law, trigger the 3 for 1 rule. 12 "unsafe" semiauto centerfire handguns are about to be removed. We just have to wait to see which ones the state chooses. If I were CA I'd go for the most common "unsafe" handguns being sold, which has to be gen 3 Glocks.

Get ready for PPT gen 3 Glock prices to increase.

I find it hard to believe the DOJ will actually do this. They might wind up losing the entire roster very quickly.

Not hard to believe at all, they changed the law last year exactly so they could do this, there's nothing stopping them. Also there's already a case moving through the courts challenging the roster. Who know's how long that will take to resolve, if it resolves in our favor.

Bottom line, you can bet your lily white @$$, the Newscum DOJ is going to remove 12 "unsafe" guns from the roster, most ricky tick. Otherwise there would be no point to them changing the law allowing them to do so.

Not true. They aren't going to drop 12 pistols. Doj is staying that for the time being since the micro craping got overturned. They don't want to kick that hornets nest right not so we're not losing anything for now.

No, they won't do the 3 for 1 crap, because everything gets removed on Jan 1, 2028, as they all will need micro stamping. Buy your guns now, as micro stamping returns with a vengeance.

If the DOJ goes forward with this, then I'd be thrilled. It will be a huge hurdle for them to succeed in any preservation efforts for the roster. This would likely doom the entire thing to collapse.

They might be that stupid, but even I have my doubts.

So, are these VP9 pistols California specific? They'd have to have the CA approved CLI and the magazine disconnect, right?

That was the old law. They changed the law last year to remove microstamping. So 3 for 1 is effective, theres nothing stopping DOJ from implementing it.

I've been wanting an VP9SK. I already have a VP9 and VP9L slide and barrel.

Exactly. I don't understand why anyone would think they would hesitate to enforce any of their garbage laws. That logic doesn't make sense either, CA doesn't make insane gun laws they don't intend to enforce. I don't see how any current litigation can prevent them from enforcing it and I'm not aware of any pending litigation to stop it. From what I can tell, the case challenging the roster isn't going to stop them from enforcing this while the case goes through the courts. I expect DOJ to quietly remove 12 guns from the roster within the next few weeks. They probably already picked them since they knew the HKs were being added.
