    Here you go: https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/...d.php?t=453716
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Secondly, while the double-action pull is nice, the single action is nowhere near as good as a typical S&W. Example: on every single example I have examined, if you very carefully watch the hammer when the trigger is pressed for single-action firing, you will see that the hammer actually moves farther BACK before it goes forward. Additionally, the single-action pull feels gritty and is noticeably heavier.

Third, the face of the trigger is serrated, not smooth. You will soon discover how bad this is after any amount of double-action shooting. My callous index finger was actually bleeding after a day of this. The outer edges of the grooves will get you quickly.

Fourth, the cylinder chambers need to be lightly chamfered to make it easy to get ammunition to go in smoothly from speed loaders. Otherwise you end up shaving material from the bullets and cases when performing a rapid reload.

Fifth, the left stock needs to be properly relieved to accommodate the use of speed loaders. It did not need too much, but none of the loaders could properly align the cartridges due to the angle imparted because of the stocks.

Other than all that, they have been very accurate with a variety of loads.
After I had the above taken care of, the two examples we own have been much better.
Did you do any work on it to solve the single action issue? Is there anything that can be done?

You can find in single action, but be patient for it will be on roster within a year. Famous last words.

Yes, it is not a difficult improvement for a skilled, competent gunsmith. Both mine were done by Finks Custom Guns, who is the resident gunsmith over at Gunsite, in Paulden Arizona. Turnaround was very reasonable considering their workload. I?ve been very pleased with their quality and attention to detail.

If Colt had made these improvements from the start, these would be bombproof from the factory. It does not take that much. For the price, I would expect a bit more. Good thing is, the new-style lockwork is a vast improvement over the older Python design. The folks who shoot them a whole lot say they are more like a refined Ruger GP100. I use revolvers in classes I take there occasionally, and also shoot various revolvers a good amount on my own club range, so I get to find out what lasts. Lately I have been shooting a Korth-Nighthawk Mongoose, and a RIA 206 for fun, just to see what I can do. Good times!
