CZ SP-01 Slide Replacement

Local guy for cheap. Bad idea though.

Is the damage related to the guy not measuring properly and planning the cut and therefore cutting into one of the holes or slots in the slide such that the gun will no longer function once an optic is installed?

Buy a new SP-01, sell your existing frame to put towards the cost. Plenty of folks looking for a CZ frame only to use for a project or home for a Kadet. Good luck

Have the machine shop make you a spacer plate to fix the problem.
Imagine a plate that puts the minimum amount of missing metal back into the slide to make it function again.
The plate would perfectly fit into the cutout they made and would put the missing metal BACK into place to recreate the slots/holes that they overcut.
The top of the plate would then accept the optic you wanted the slide cut for.
Longer screws will be used to hold down both the optic and the spacer plate.

That's one option, what I was thinking.
Another would be to set the top of the repair part to take one of the plate systems in use. CZ Custom has one system. I don't know if that's the same system used on the Shadow 2 optics ready slide.

We don't know how deep it was overcut.
It might only need a 0.030" shim with a groove in it.
