CZ SP-01 Slide Replacement

Does anyone know if only the slude needs replacing, can I send it off to CZ and get the slide replaced? I was quite surprised not to find any slides for sale aftermarket so I thought CZ should have some. However, I get a different answer each day, some say they can replace just the slide with a new one, while others say that CZ will not replace the slide under any circumstances, so at that point your CZ-01 is a nice paperweight.

Have you tried contacting them direct?
You'll have to contact them anyway if you want to send the gun to them.

Yeah, more details please, really rare that a slide wears out. I?m guessing it suffered some damage somehow.

How many rounds fired, I was just shooting my SP-01 yesterday. It hit me that it?s 14 years old, made in 2009. Granted I don?t shoot it a ton, it only has around 4000 rounds fired but it still looks new aside from the wear marks visible when you break it down.

I have an extra slide with optics mount for SP-01 and I don't recall having any issue finding just a slide. It was years ago, though, but still... it's a slide.

Dude is a serial flipper.
He probably has a little scratch so he wants to replace the slide so he can advertise the gun as unfired.

How do you know that if OP only has one instance of iTrader feedback?

I would think that would be hard to do if you have done any kind of shooting with it you would see wear if you break it down. Also if it's fairly new CZ puts the serial number on the frame, barrel and slide.

it?s pretty hard to find cz slides right now (at least, I have been waiting for sp01 shadow slides to come back in stock for almost a year) good luck

A new slide might need fitting. Easiest is to buy a used one off someone?s gun

My buddy had to go through Colt's FFL approval process to purchase a CZ rifle. He made it sound like Colt did the buying.

You can't buy a a CZ slide after market (importing laws from what I've been told). You would have to send it to CZ and let them handle it.

Problem is CZ CS has told me they can't replace a slide even if sent to them.
