I may make a purchase if SK uses the SA Load Stainless 1911 on the Roster and engrave 2nd Amendment or US Arm Force.
(Hey, I read all Big Pim’s threads and owned FMK G2 2nd Amemdement version).

Much like a woman, a 1911 looks attractive based on what it is, not because of how much paint or decoration is put on it...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Now... I can see something like this as it commemorates an event...

But, as with all things, there is the Law of Attrition; i.e., 'beauty can fade over time' and/or can depend on the lighting...

Just as with a woman, often, as attrition accumulates, the smoother and more comfortable the relationship becomes. Of course, there can also be the occasional clinker as well which ends up overdone or flat worn out...

Now that would complement any Egyptian collection. Looks cool to me, but definitely an artwork and not a shooter.

I'm a 1911 guy and while it's not my style, I am not going to denigrate those that will be attracted to it. Certainly it would look good in a presentation box on your desk at home. Actually, it's not all that high priced, so it could be affordable to the right person.

I'm more into military issue and standard type 1911/1911A1's.

Ivory grips and nice bluing are all the embellishment my Government models require.

That's a dream for sure: as in a nightmare!!

Trying to make it look decadant and high-end, they ended up with cheap-looking and bubble-gum, whether the flash and dazzle is made from expensive materials or not.

If the 'Franklin Mint' made a gun....

Terribly done cartoonish engraving, sectioned grapghics that look like tacked on placards, fake scrimshaw, silly glyphics with lack of detail - just poorly executed even for what it is and what they were trying to achieve.

It's value is merely the sum of its parts - maybe.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

This is about as fancy as I'll ever get on a 1911, and it's only because I made the grips:

Nice craftsmanship, but definitely an El Chapo special, the girl too.
