    1911 Dreams

On my retirement income I can only dream and drool on my pillow

SK CUSTOMS® PRESENTS GODS OF EGYPT SERIES DEBUTING WITH ANUBIS Thousands of years ago in ancient Egypt, hungry jackals would dig up bodies buried in shallow desert graves and feed on them. To ancient Egyptians, who thought that a person’s body needed to be preserved in order to enjoy the afterlife,…

I kind of understand why folks like this type of firearms with all the decorative sprinkles and gold color hoopla work on it but it’s not for me. Guns with “special” roll stamping , laser etching from a computer program and gold fill work are just flat out goofy in my Perspective .

Firearms that I feel are worth dreaming about are things like sixguns, 1911’s , drilling’s rifles, Italian shotguns ,knives and the occasional long gun that has been heavy relief engraved ,possibly 24 carat inlays and the best stocks made of ivory or some High grade French walnut Factory ordered and made by hand .When you hold a firearm with that much man hours into it the gun almost has a pulse it’s so alive .Its begging to tell it’s story .The first time I held a revolver engraved by master Angelo Bee the hair stood up on arms and I felt electricity jump through my neck into my head .That is a dream gun to me . Opinions my vary .

I know right? I can see someone looking around the floor at the range for that cool pyramid front sight if it pops off.

They should have thrown in a few gold bullets. The ones pictured are for us mere mortals.

Kinda cool, but not my thing. I admire the skill, though.

I looked at some of the 'bespoke' guns on the site. Some were really tastefully done. A couple of the Colt SSA's in .45 Colt were really nice. Way out of my league pricewise, though.

It would be cool to have in a presentation box sitting on your bar. I used to have a bright nickel python I’d do that with. People will always open the lid out of curiosity and gasp.

Honestly it's pretty cool, it's a bit different but I dig it, just not enough to buy it though.
