    CA Handgun Roster

St Benitez is supposed to be issuing his ruling on the CA Handun Roster on the 10th.
Assuming it goes away, how many of you have decided in what handgun you immediately want to buy before the State tries to shut things down again?

The question is what will be in stock and available "IF" that should happen.

        I want a AK pistol.

Which FFL in SoCal processes sameday/overnight delivery and don't plan to drag out any dros application process to the following week?

Probably none unless you're friends/family of a FFL.

Yeah, I can't see any FFL risking their livelihood for a "roster freedom week". It cracks me up how many Calgunners think the roster is just going to magically vanish so they can buy their shiny new toy.

Benitez is not hearing this case. No ruling is scheduled. Judge Carney ordered a 10 page brief to be turned in on the 10th of March.
            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

              IF
-the gun you want is in inventory, and
-you arrive 5 minutes after the decision comes down, and
-the FFL allows you to purchase it, and
-the FFL enters the purchase into DES for the DROS, and
-an injunction is put in place before the 10, 24 hour periods have passed,
              THEN
              -the sale will fail, and
-you will lose your DROS fee, and
-you will get a 25% restocking fee, and

My bad. My dealer just mentioned how weak the State?s case and arguments were. No name was mentioned, so I made an improper assumption.😬

Is there any lawsuit on the 10 day wait?

Yes, we won it. It was based on the fact that certain people had already been vetted by the state and/or federal government and should not have to go through CA's "cooling off period".

The state appealed the decision and I don't know where it's at now.

                    EDIT:

Found it, it's dead. We won at the district level, the state won in the 9th Circus and the SCOTUS refused to hear the case. No new case is pending as of now.

I will bet a donut that the state already has something new planned just in case they lose and we will have freedom for less than 2 minutes, the roster is not going away, likely not in our lifetimes. The roster if it goes away will be replaced within minutes by something equally bad and back to the years long court battles it goes.

So pretty much where this is headed? Just like our first freedom week, or the 2nd freedom day? (Many people don't know that we had a freedom day following the freedom week.)

Yeah, that was the "Ammo Freedom Day".

This place went nuts with folks providing links and information to order ammo from out of state and having it delivered to your door without having a COE/03FFL.

I managed a good score and met my UPS guy at the door. It was heaven...at least for a day!

The chance that the roster will go away is miniscule. Even if it did, the tyrants would replace it with something just as egregious, or worse, as mentioned above.

Personally. I would like to see the ammo BG check and the ammo import law go away.

California handgun roster is stupid and useless. According to Kalifornia , law Enforcement Agencies ( including mine ) issue UNSAFE handguns and ASSAULT weapons to they staff members who protect the public . Sounds nice? 10 DAY WAITING PERIOD is stupid and useless too. I am issued firearms by my employer , been buying firearms since early 80's and legally carry a concealed firearm for the last 30 years. Why would I need to cool down to get another gun? My friend is a gun collector who owns A LOT of firearms. Each time He buys another one , He must wait 10 days. Wait for what? All that stuff is just a violation of the 2nd Ammendment. That's all it is. It's funny , first I was issued GEN2 Glock is it still "safe" ? Then GEN3 Glock , I suppose it's safe(?) , somehow Gen4 ( gun that replaced Browning Hi Power for British Armed Forces) is not safe? And my current issue Gen5 is also not safe? Sounds pretty nuts to me.....
