Rear Sight Installation Tool

Can anyone here recommend me a good rear sight installation tool that won't brake the bank?

Most of the ones I see online are crazy expensive. I do not install sights for a living, don't need a fancy state of the art gadget. I just need a sight tool I can use to install rear sights once or twice a year without damaging the slide.

I got this one from Amazon. No complaints. Solid construction. Used to replace four Glock rear sights. No clear instructions but there's great tips in the reviews.

Got one of these from Amazon for $71. I had one of these and they worked decently but the drive bolt was a very coarse thread and I was on the verge of having it slip and mess up the sight or gun each time I used it.

The pusher worked perfectly with my VP40 which came with plain black rear sights. I put on adjustable fiber sights and the sight picture is 100% better.









The day I bought it with the stock sights at 10 yards



With the fiber optic sights (VP40 with 40 S&W ammo on top, swapped with my VP9 barrel and magazine and 9mm ammo on bottom for comparison) 10 yards



$71 is a little expensive, but it's buy once, cry once.

They came out with a updated version, very robust compared to older.

Wow you must of used extra leverage to bend that up.
The T bar gives your hands good feed back on how much pressure is being used.
Think I will be taking my XD to smith if I change it out.
Looks like the model I picked up has been beefed up.
Have not done any rears, usually just black them out.





Like having a alignment window.


Was able to get peened sight out with no damage to pusher.

A drop on the rear sight and front sight, let it penetrate for a few hours.


You’ll need a vise with padded jaws. Substitute a heavier steel hammer if the sights won’t budge.

I have several tools and be sure and use TAPE to protect your slide.

I have the Fisher tool.Works well.I have changed sights on all my glocks, CZs, Walthers, etc...
