After shooting my Romy G build AK for a bit, I'm actually leaning towards an AR15 pistol vs. an AK pistol now even though the bullet is much smaller.

    Why?

Because pushing a bullet button is SOOO much easier than actuating a stupid lever under an AK maglock. I fail to see how ANYONE could find this very easy.

      AR pistols are "ooooooooooooooh" makers
Please re-read the OP; The word "need" is not there.

I have many things I do not need. I wanted them therefore I have them but I bought each of them with a specific purpose or function.

I was asking the question to see if there was anything beyond that "want".

Agreed. It's also the closest thing to a legal SBR that we'll ever have in CA for a long while. We do it because we can and it one more "evil" and "unsafe" pistol into CA that wasn't on the roster.

So can anyone show me a picture of what a illegal barrel covering would be for an AR pistol in Ca verses some legal ways of doing it. I swear I am confused as hell as allot of these guns shown seem like they are set up illegally with the way the law is worded on what you can and cant do with a fore gaurd. Thank you all.

A CA-legal AR-pistol with a fixed mag can have any barrel covering you want.

12276.1. (a) Notwithstanding Section 12276, "assault weapon" shall also mean any of the following:
                          (4) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:
                          (A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.
                          (B) A second handgrip.
                          (C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning his or her hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
                          (D) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.
                          (5) A semiautomatic pistol with a fixed magazine that has the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.
If it does not have a detachable magazine, which most/all of the AR-pistols you see on this forum do not have, then 12276.1(a)(4)(C) does not matter.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
