I guess obvious question is have you tried anyone else's standard mags w/your G19?

Not sure where you're located, but if you're in the L.A. area, I have various mags you can test to see if it's the pistol or your mags.

Also, if you've owned the G19 for years and assuming you've also had both reduced and standard capacity mags for a while, did the standard capacity mag work fine in the past?

If yes, did you make any changes to the pistol or mags?

    Basic troubleshooting steps.

115gr ammo causes weird problems for me that are annoying and inconsistent. Like working in one mag and not the other. Stovepiping sometimes but not always.

Id run a box of 124gr through the 15rd mags only. If the issue goes away, id just call it solved. You could likely sell that ammo for what you paid, and luckily now ammo is coming back around and you could get more reliable 124.

hmm sounds like the magazines are up to snuff sounds like an extractor issue but why 10 rounders work flawless i'm at a loss other than it could be a math issue like say it has a problem that happens one time in 30 a 10 round mag would seem like its pefect since mathmatically it doesn't hold enough to give it a chance to malfunction

with 15 the issue would pop up ever other magazine

stovepipes are after loading so thats not a magazine issue

double feeds i'm not sure what you mean but if its trying to load one on a chamber that has a spent case than that is an extractor issue

            Just thinking out loud here.

Take off the slide, put in the 10 rd mag with a round in it and see how high it sits in the frame and forward, etc. Now try the same with the 15rd mag. The 15rd mags may seat a bit differently (not sure why) and cause feeding/extraction issues. Or as other suggested check the followers compared to the 10rd. Also see if there are any wiggle room differences between the 2 types of mags.

Recently took a range trip to shoot my new Glock 48 and also took my Glock 19 Gen3 that I've owned for over 10 years. The ammo I used was 115gr Blazer Brass.

When it came time to shoot the Glock 19 I used two freedom week 15 rd OEM mags and two 10 rd OEM mags. I shot the magazines interchangeably and I consistently had malfunctions (stovepipe and double-feeds) everytime I shot using the 15rd mags (about every 5 shots). The 10rd OEM mags were 100% reliable. I probably shot about 200 rounds spread evenly between the four mags.

I understand that limp-wristing can incite malfunctions, however I kept a consistent solid grip with both mags and it doesn't make sense if I did limp-wrist that I wouldn't have experienced a malfunction with the oem 10rd mags.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, what did you do to remedy?

              Thanks,

                I would try 124's and 147's.

Having a solid grip on the pistol has nothing to do with locking your wrist. Over gripping your gun will result in milking your grip ie readjusting your grip after every shot. Try to apply even firm pressure on your grip as well as your locking your wrist all while keeping the web of your thumb/pointer finger as high as possible on the beaver tail. Also make sure your support thumb is pointing forward, elbows slightly bent/at a 45 degree angle and your primary hand thumb lays on top of where your support hand thumb bone starts. Your firing grip should have no gaps/openings near the mag well. This grip will reduce muzzle flip, faster front sight recovery, faster follow up shots and your front sight will drop back to the original sight picture before breaking the shot.

My guess is that you got some aftermarket mags (maybe Korean in origin) that were passed off as OEM.

possibly KCI mags with Glock floor plates?

maybe the seller switched base plates on some aftermarket Korean KCI mags and sold them as OEM factory magazines?

Something certainly seems fishy with the mags. Normally the 10 rounders are the ones that cause malfunctions. Where did you buy the 15 rounders?

Also, called Glock today and they indicated that my followers are the newest generation they had (9mm 6 printed on the follower) and that it may be a good idea to keep the mags loaded to break in the springs.
