    Beretta M9.

A friend of mine wants to sell his Beretta M9, and offered it to me for $400. I can look at it this Sunday. Other than that I know nothing really about Beretta handguns, or his particular M9. The only reasons I would consider purchasing are, he's the original owner, its 9mm, and condition (to be determined).

What are your thoughts on the Beretta M9???

Buy it and buy him dinner. They are up to $700 the last time I was at a gun store.
You have a great friend there. Enjoy!

If it is in good condition, buy it and post pics here. Lots of Beretta lovers here. Great gun and you are buying at 1980s price. Buy it already! Congrats in advance!

It's a great design. You can also get a 22 conversion kit from Beretta that is super fun. I would pay that for one, even in not fantastic shape.

                Good deal and reliable.

A bit chunky if you have smaller hands but nothing slim grip panels can’t fix.

If it's in 80-90% or better... grab it. If its *well* used, it'll depend on condition.

Any Beretta M9 that is functional, is worth at least $400. That is an excellent deal. Doesnt get any better than that. Dont be ignorant OP.

Put a Wilson #14 hammer spring in it and the trigger pull will be perfect.

No brainer for $400. A good candidate for a project gun. Plenty of upgrades/accessories for the 92.

+1 on the 14 lb hammer spring.

Do it, or pass on the savings.

Uh yes? That is a no brainer price in todays world.

If you are handy get the Langdon trigger bar, Beretta match hammer and a #13 hammer spring from Langdon:

                          Bar: https://www.langdontactical.com/opti...e-trigger-bar/

                          Spring: https://www.langdontactical.com/chro...g-12-13-14-16/

                          Hammer: https://www.langdontactical.com/bere...-match-hammer/

For an extra $125 it would make the gun unreal. The Langdon parts are awesome, and Berettas are really easy to work on.

$400 is a good deal on a Beretta M9 , if it's in excellent condition from the original owner

                            it's a high quality firearm

                              Hahaha!
OP, you should pass on that Beretta if it isnt in excellent condition AND you arent buying it from the original owner.
