Serious! Sig 365

Okay, I realize it's a Sig but really? $1200-1500 for a 365 seems pretty steep. They retail high for 700 and low for 600. This is America and I love this country with all its faults. Congrats too all of you who have sold it for this price and for all of you who have bought it. Let me shoot yours just to see and feel it cause I really want to know how this off roster pistol feels. I try not to judge people cause something is only worth what someone wants to pay just like .75/rd for 9mm. I just want to judge the gun. Shooting at:
Insight, OC Indoor, Prado outdoor, La Puente Indoor, and anywhere else inbetween. I will bring my own ammo just like BYOA or BYOB. Thanks.

Drive out to Vegas and tryout all the off roster guns you like. Guns and ammo are cheaper in Nevada.

Carried a Shield, XD-S, G43, and P365, and actually shot them...over 3K rounds through the Shield for instance, in classes, USPSA matches, etc. P365 is better. Not double the price better though.

I got a 365 NRA and really liked it. When Back and got the 365 XL NRA and it just felt better in my hand and the flat trigger is a plus. If you get a regular 365 you can always buy a new grip module for $55 to make it fit like an XL grip

It's worth it. Just a wonderful gun.

Can’t put a price on your carry gun imo.
I haven’t switched to my p365 full time yet as i need more drills and trigger time with it, but so far i’m liking mine a lot as my new potential edc and it will likely be replacing my g43 as my daily carry.

Agreed 100% cannot out a price on your carry gun. Especially in a non permissive state like California. If I need to spend more to not be made, so be it. Thr p365 and P365XL are the only carry guns that may pull.me away from G43, G48, and G19 for carry guns.

Nitrox, have you tried a Phlster Enigma? Wife uses one for a p365XL and I use one with a G48. Awesome piece of kit.

Price is the price in CA, deals pop up. I like the 365xl and Glock 48, I went 48 because mag prices and I got the gun for $1,100. Seems wild, but I sold my used XDS for $925 and I felt the $200 upgrade (including dros) was entirely worth it for me.

if you have base access, Glocks are $500 plus DROS at Travis, last I saw there were several in stock, many different models.

Yup def don't miss those days in Cali. If you don't plan to carry there is no way I would spend that money on a P365. If you carry then yes. Even at 1600 that is 5 bucks a day if you carry daily.

I think you are feeling this way because you are in a free state. I just got back from visiting my mom and at the shop by her they had some guns in stock. All three versions of the p365, FNX 45 tactical, Glock 19x and 17’s. All at reasonable prices. They even had quite a few of the S&W M and Ps. I watched quite a few people walk in and walk out in 15 minutes or less. So I think the free feeling of getting what you want, anytime, kind of gives people the sense of why pay high prices for a general gun. It sucked coming home to seeing empty shelves, or $800 gen 3 G19s.

I think you missed the point of my post. I did pay that premium when I lived there but if I’m being honest I’m a gun nut and wanted stuff and wasn’t gonna let the roster stop me or price. My point was that justifying a purchase for “carry” purposes is a lie we tell ourselves. If you carry legally you can throw a deagle in your pants and it’s all good. I’ve carried the shield, the 43, the 365, the 42, the p238, kahr p380 on the small side and a many full size pistols as well. Sure a smaller guns prints less than a 226 but when you are talking shield vs 365 you aren’t gaining that much less print. Maybe for a small women yes(and I know we buy stuff saying “it will be easier for my wife to carry knowing she ain’t gonna carry it lol), but for the most part you will print about the same with each of em. And more likely when bending over or something. I’ve seen skinny guys in skinny jeans appendix carry a 19 with a light and you wouldn’t know they are carrying unless you are trying to see a dick print. I’m not saying don’t buy what you want to buy or spend what you need to spend. I’m saying this “oh but it’s for carry” is a lie we tell ourselves to justify a purchase. No need to lie to yourself. Just buy what you want if you can afford it. The fact is the logic behind spending 1500 for 11 rounds vs 600 for a shield with the magguts 10 round spring is silly. You will print basically the same. So just buy the 365 cuz it’s cool. Cuz it’s a better gun. Better trigger. Better looks. But don’t try to tell us here on calguns you are spending an extra 1000 bucks cuz something is better for concealing when tons of people conceal far bigger guns with no issue. A real man says “I bought it cuz I wanted it, sure I can carry it but I wanted it so I bought it and I’m happy”. Otherwise you sound like a guy making an argument to buy a Lamborghini cuz it’s easier to park in tight spots than your truck...well so is a Prius or a civic. We all see what’s going on here lol.
