Just finished install.
Used my Lyman Trigger Pull Scale (which I am competent with).
With Ghost Connector and SIX (yes SIX) pound STRIKER spring.
Trigger pull now is 2.5lbs. give or take an ounce here or there .
Now, there is room for much improvement in the trigger shoe. The way the trigger safety is doesn't leave room to safely take up pre travel slack.
I also feel a bit of a hang up when the trigger returns to set. I'll try and track it down, but it's not a smooth trigger return.

Play with the connector tension. What I discovered is that there is a large burr on the rear radius of the trigger bar. The burrs are on both sides and leaves a U channel. This is the comment I was addressing in the earlier part of this thread where I couldn't take it off due to the coating. But I decided to go with it as this is bad but can be really good if figured out corectly. Good if you adjust the connector just right it will ride on the thin edges which is a significant reduction in bearing surface area. Bad if it's not tweaked just right the edge of the connector will jump in and out of the burr and even bind up. I also stoned a very small chamfer into that leading edge on the connector and polished it up.
I noticed this because there's an audible click as it jumps in and out of the groove created by the burrs. When you get it just right the return is smooth and forceful. I noticed that the trigger pull was really noisy too, as the tuning progressed the noise decreased. Also grease that surface where the bar meets the connector and grease the axle on the trigger for the return spring.Last edited by Dooder; 02-05-2021, 4:26 PM.Man, this place has gone bonkers.Comment

I have mine installed into a brand new, bone stock G34G4. All I did was polish the factory Dot connector, the striker foot, and the face of the firing pin safety plunger.
The system dropped in and just worked with no adjustments needed. It does what it advertises. I will check my weight with my digital Lyman gauge a bit later tonight.
As noted above by Snoopy, you cannot take up all the pre-travel you would like without additional mods. In addition to trimming back the trigger tab safety, you would also have to re-profile the hump on the trigger bar so it engages the firing pin safety plunger later in the pull.
And I really would like to see an over-travel solution. It seems it may be possible with a drill/tap and custom set screw in the bottom of the Timney chassis, but I will explore that later perhaps after I can catch another trigger on sale.
I am curious how different connectors will interact with this system and what effect they will have. It may be that a stock connector works better, these connectors may work completely differently with this system than we are used to. I think a stock connector may give a crisper break with less creep, perhaps with no significant effect on pull weight.
I will experiment some more later using various connectors. But my first inclination is that a stock connector may be the best setup, because the trigger bar will be moving down more than back, and that is pretty much what you want with this fully cocked striker.Last edited by SkyHawk; 02-05-2021, 4:45 PM.Comment

Oh on a side note, connectors play a part in the perceived trigger mush. However the plunger and striker play a large part in it as well. My Timney set up wouldn't crisp up enough so I examined those parts and they were trashed. Had to replace all it and now the trigger is crispy.
Strikers and plungers are out of sight out of mind, but they do wear out. I had around 20k with the stock striker before it had to be replaced. I put in the Zev lightened striker and plunger and those lasted probably about another 20k but are more worn than stock Glock steel. And that's live fire round count. There's probably half as many dry firings to add onto that. I'll post some pictures in a bit.
The armorer at the GSSF match a coupla years ago refreshed the guts in my g21 slide as that striker and plunger were trashed too. That gun probably had about 30k on it.Man, this place has gone bonkers.Comment

It looks like the entire trigger bar is two halves joined together or folded together. I looked at the whole thing and that channel you are talking about under magnification, and I'm like wtf is this?
I did not notice any effect though or weird interactions with the connector but I need to observe it some more when my house is quieter, kids in bed etc. My reset seems fine, no hangups. Yea right?! So weird. It totally looks like two halves stuck together. I was wondering because if it was stamped twice then it should still only have one burr. That's why I was going along with maybe it's intentional. The dual burr isn't along the entire bar. But I went along with it because it works haaha.
