It's a modular P320, just get an optics cut slide and leave your original alone.

The P320 with it's modular FCU was made to easily swap frames, slides, and calibers to whatever configuration you want. Why would you cut the stock slide instead of taking advantage of the gun's modularity?

Something tells me you do not own a P320... Go to the SIG store and try to buy a completed one. $649 + who knows what else with a Romeo. But that is with a Romeo. Oh and it is out of stock...

You can go to Ebay or Gunbroker and buy additional carry or compact slides all day long. Even full size slides. Completed slides for around $200 or more and then send in your slide to get it milled out and cut for RMR or Holosun or various other items. THOSE are available NOW. There is no such thing as "the stock slide" since it is modular. Nothing is serialized or mated so ANY slide, 3rd party or OEM should in theory fit ANY grip module that it was made for.

I guess what I am trying to say is, send in the stock slide to get cut, YOU CAN BUY ANOTHER STOCK SLIDE FOR CHEAP... By having someone mill out your slide you are taking advantage of the modularity by customizing your gun. If you don't like it after you are finished, then go buy another slide...

Send him your slide, tell him you want whatever cuts done to it and he will tell you yes or no, then he will cerakote it in the end. He does a good job. Tell him Stilly said something good about him.

There are so many aftermarket optics cut P320 slides (even factory optics cut slides from Sig) with everything and the kitchen sink thrown in. They look and perform awesome for reasonable prices.

So why would you cut the original slide that came with the gun unless you were pinching pennies? Even then you don't save much when you add up all the costs, effort, and time. Especially since a factory replacement slide would cost the same as a tricked out optics cut slide.

And if you own a P320, you're likely going to own a box full of frames, barrels, and slides over time anyway. So just get the tricked out optics cut slide of your choice and be done with it. Otherwise you're talking about searching for a good machinist, spending time and money to send it off, then waiting a couple weeks to a couple months for machining and Cerakote, then paying for shipping back, and then waiting a week or two for it to arrive. If you want to switch back to iron sights, you have to remove your optic, use the gun, then remount the optic and sight it in again. It would be far easier to just swap complete slides out. Which means now you have to buy a factory slide to replace your cut one.

Just do it right the first time and get an aftermarket or Sig optics cut slide from the get go.

So for $150-$400 and three weeks waiting time he can have his completed pistol. OR he can spend about $700+ and STILL wait for something that may look nice, but is rather expensive.

Oh and btw, OP asked for someone to point out a person that could cut his slide for an optic and put a little more on as well. OP did not ask for someone to talk him out of it. I did what he asked. Also, if OP has an original P320 from 2014, or a 1st gen FCU, he might have to send his gun in to SIG and have them upgrade it before he gets another slide OR grip module. SO why bother waiting for 2-3 weeks on that when you can already be waiting for your gun to be finished at Fabricated Arms?
