The VP9 is one of the best striker fired polymer guns out of the box IMO. Great ergos and good trigger. It gets even better after adding an aftermarket trigger and a little polishing on a few components if you're into modding.

I had 2 and sold them.

They were a bit too big IMO compared to the P99, PPQ and Glock 19.

I love the way they look, but the trigger pinches my trigger finger. Before everyone gangs up on me, Hickok45 (internet gun sensation ) had the same issue. Reed's Indoor Range in Santa Clara has a rental VP9, in case you're in the area. Often times, folks looking at the VP9 are also considering the Walther PPQ. The PPQ is amazing.

Glad to hear they got rid of the channel inside of the trigger guard, was not aware of that.

I have the VP9 and it is an excellent striker fired pistol. However, I like my PPQM2 and Canik TP9SF Elite just a little bit more. I just slightly prefer the PPQ trigger and standard mag release on the PPQM2. But the VP9 has an excellent trigger out of the box.

Not sure, but I think the paddle mag release models still have the groove. I was looking at some pics of the optics ready model (w/paddles) and it appeared to have the groove.

VP9 is one of my favorite pistols. Although my glock 19 can do the same job, the VP9 has better ergonomics and looks sexy as hell.

Being a classic Sig guy , VP9 and the P320 RX are the only 2 polymer striker fired I own . I gotta admit that I do enjoy to shoot them. Good ergonomics and decent trigger .

I purchased the VP9 first and I shot it so well, I picked up the SK for my EDC. Great guns and triggers out of the box!

                                My thoughts... I want 1.. 2.. or 3...

The one striker to rule them all.
