Thoughts on VP9
Tags: None -
I've at one time owned both a VP9 and USP I stupidly sold both to fund the downpayment of a house. That being said, would I buy either again? I would only buy the USP.

The USP after the L.LEM+Grayguns mod became one of my favorite trigger. The finish on the USP is much better as well. The Striker Fire mechanism VP9 is also much more complicated than the USP or the Glock. I've gone through several on/off roster handguns and have narrowed myself down to just the Mk25, Glock 19 Gen 3(looking for another or if I'm lucky a Gen 2) and soon hopefully a USP9/45. At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference however if I could buy the VP9 again I probably won't.Comment

Yes, the VP9 does have a very nice trigger IMO; good ergos, accurate, blah blah.
I really don't factor in the size/mag restriction too much when deciding on a gun. Look at it this way, if we have another freedom week, it's another plus.
Other striker fired pistols that I've shot and think they also have a very nice trigger are Walther PPQ & CZ10CComment

I like my VP9. The grip fits my hand better than my G19.
During my CCW qualification, I had better score with VP9 than G19.

If I could find one for less than being raped pricing, I would buy it. In a heartbeat.sigpic

I took a pistol and carbine class with only 4 students a couple years ago. Larry Vickers Put us through the wringer.
My sig 226 was my only 9 at the time, so i shot it. It was murder with all the decocking between strings.
After we were finished, we naturally traded equipment so guys could try the Eotech on my carbine, etc.
One guy had a VP9. Standard model, iirc.
Fresh off Larrys timed accuracy drills and 3 long days of practice, i did a mag dump at 10 yards into a ragged hole. Ridiculously easy with all the trigger focus i had put into the SA/da sig.
I was going to get one, but saw the Cali markup and bought a G 19 instead, which i already had 15 rounders for. Then freedom week came and i bought 10 more standard and standard plus magazines.
I dont regret the choice, but would have opted for the vp if it was the same price.Originally posted by tony270It's easy to be a keyboard warrior, you would melt like wax in front of me, you wouldn't be able to move your lips.Originally posted by repubconservPrint it out and frame it for all I careOriginally posted by el chivoI don't need to think at all..XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOriginally posted by pjsigYou are talking to someone who already won this lame conversation, not a brick a wall. Had one. Would not buy again even in a free state. Sold it and kept my V1 P30L. Shot both back to back. It is not a POA/POI gun like the rest of H&K's line up. Looked inside the trigger mechanisms, looks way over engineered like a Swiss watch.History doesn't repeat itself but it rhymesComment

Mouthy whatever you are.Originally posted by jessegpresleyBoomer tall tales. You did not fire 15 rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger into a ragged hole at 10 yards.
Show me where i wrote “as fast as i could pull the trigger”. I will wait.
I absolutely fired 16 rounds as fast as i could aim that fire, immediately after a three day course taught by a guy whose accuracy and par times drills are well known. .
