I have one (not in state) and would not buy one again. Luckily I did not pay much for it. About as useful as teeats on a bull. I guess you could use it for snakes when hiking, but that is about all it is good for.

So many things wrong with it but the number one reason, its a Taurus. If you want to throw your money away just to own one, why not get something better?

Yes, the Judge is a handgun, and does not meet the CA or federal definition of a shotgun, since it was not designed to be fired from the shoulder. Due to that, the shotgun AW regs than ban shotguns with revolving cylinders may not apply to the Judge.

However, CA's defintion of an SBS does not require the firearm to be a shotgun, but merely a firearm less than 26"OAL, and/or a barrel <18" that can fire a shotgun shell. Yes, it can be a short-barreled shotgun without first being a shotgun.

If this is the case, then how is it that they sell shot shells for 22 and 45 etc and call it snake shot. Doesn't that make your handgun a sbs?

apparantly they don't consider those shot shells to be "fixed shotgun shells".
