    No Regular Calibers Allowed...

Starting to run out of stuff to read on the forums, so let’s have some fun:

Let’s see/talk about the oddballs, the unusuals, the wallflowers and the unsung handguns/calibers.

NO .38/357/9mm/40/45acp/.22lr/.44mag allowed....since 10mm grew up and became hot I’m gonna not allow it either.

    I’ll start.

.41 mag 10” contender. Growing up I always wanted a .41 since it was the oddbal of the mags; now I’ve got two and have a third on the to-buy list. Haven’t shot this barrel yet but I’ve got a bunch of brass and hopes for silhouette...

How about a nice revolver that you can put a suppressor on?

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I've been doing some reloading almost every day during the stay home quarantine but the only less than common pistol round I've got is 357sig. I make some high velocity ammo using 8g Universal pushing a 95g JHP to 1500 fps - that's about 50% more muzzle energy than a 9mm and much less kick than a std 180g 40S&W. Got a drop in conversion barrel for the XD40 to 357sig, same magazine and recoil spring. 357sig is cheap when you reload it.

                  Some ammo options

Nice XD. Oddly enough (pun intended) I handled a Glock 32 at a local shop while drosing a couple of items I had on hold just yesterday. .357 sig was one of the few handgun cartridges they had decent stock of; thought about getting it just because the round doesn’t get much love anymore.

Interesting; I consider .41 magnum, .25ACP, and .357 SIG to be "regular" calibers.

If I can get some more pressing projects done today, I'll post up pics of some things in .475 Wildey, 9x21mm, 9mm Largo, .45 WinMag, .40 Corbon, .30 Luger, .50 AE, among some others that are probably at the back of the safe.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

Got a basically brand new stainless TC Contender in .222 (16 inch custom shop barrel) from the for sale section here. I got a .44 mag super 14 barrel but want .41 mag, .45 Colt and a 30-30. I hand load and have a good stock of brass.

                              Gleam,

True. Admittedly, a .41 mag, .357 sig, etc is much more ‘regular’ than .45 win mag, 9x23, etc but I’d also think that popularity wise, a 357 or .44 is more common than .41. Same goes for 9,40,45 compared to .38 supers, 9x__ and even the sig round nowadays.

Side note - when I bought the .41 barrel I had the chance to get a super 14 bbl in 45 win mag. I’ve regretted it considering the price he was offering, and may still yet find another just to try it out.

I look forward to seeing the collection
