My wife doesn't shoot that often, but when she does, she usually likes .22 and .38 revolvers, .22 semiautos, .380 semiautos, and 1911s. She's not a 9mm fan.

Wife shoots 22lr and 9mm. She has 3 firearms of her own. A Phoenix HP22, Shield 9mm and a Ruger American rimfire.

Lately she has been toting her Sig P365 around, she is really liking it. Its pretty new though, no pics yet.

Long guns she has two. The Henry Golden Boy (top in .22) and the Ubertti 1873 (bottom rifle in .357)



She has named both of them: Henrietta and Bertie:

She will tell ya how much she loves Henrietta ever chance she gets, here
coming back from blasting some ground squirrels and saying just that! Read her lips: " I love this rifle."





But she's very fond of Bertie too. Its Bertie that is the truck gun, cruising the ranch.

She has shot a lot of different guns but once I let her shoot the Ruger GP100 I couldn't get it out of her hands. It's "her" gun now.

Heck no, its too hard to smell the calf's hair burning over the New York's that Brother Bill, our ranch cook, has going for the crew:



He's got quite the rig he hauls:



Sometimes he'll go all out with the steak and lobster. We feed our crew ok, anyhoo they keep coming back:



Sometimes we brand new bulls that we just bought and they don't smell like bull burger:



Heck even the horses get use to it, the smoke and the smell:

Wife has G42 and Walther PPK/s on her ccw. She also has her dads old G17 that he carried on duty. Her favorite is the PPK though, her dad got it for her on her 18th birthday and she carried it all through her college years.

She stole my CZ-75 Compact

The ergonomics are great, the weight makes recoil pleasant and it's quite accurate.

I seriously advise trying before you buy anything.

My wife swears by 1911s. She has a Colt Commander in 45 ACP of course. Her father and other relatives were WWII Combat Veterans and I was a 1911 guy in my youth.

She shoots that 45 ACP about six times a year and usually 50 to 100 rounds each outing. Fortunately I am a reloader. Also we get out to Angeles Shooting Range twice a year where she does very well with the AK-47 and SKS out to 100 yards. The Marlin M60 is the favorite 22 LR Plinker.
