Her preferred handgun is a S&W heavy barrel model 10. Her favorite to shoot is her Ruger 10/22 Sporter, she loves the walnut stock.

Mrs. Ojisan liked our 4" Ruger Security Six with .38 +P ammo the best.
Mild recoil and simple operation were the attractions.
The shotgun was too much and the .22s not enough for serious use.
She wasn't really a shooter or into guns but as an armed robbery victim she did want to know how to shoot for defense.
Auto pistols were generally too complicated and different from one to the next but she did like the Colt Mustang & Government models enough to learn how to run them.
It was the Six that was always at the bedside though.

She has shot our g21 the most since it is easier for her to rack than the g34 and g26. Her favorite is the 26 though just because it’s “a baby”.

No sidearms for women and children in my house. She can get down with her little Dissipator though.

We have 19 acres and I built a shooting berm, so we try to shoot at least a couple times a month. My 73 year old wife likes shooting her Glock 19, 9mm the best. Although, when she shoots her Les Baer, 1911 Classic, 9mm, she shoots it quite well. She carries a Glock 43, since it is smaller and fits most of her purses better than the Glock 19 or Les Baer.

My wife likes the Blackhawk 357 magnum with full house loads the best while at the range.

Last trip out she was loving the 4006 TSW.....she has liked everything I hand her but always asks for the old 3 screw Blackhawk....it makes her giggle.
