CZ handguns

In the past few months I have seen a lot of discussion about CZ handguns. I have also seen a lot of people trying to sell their CZ handguns here on Calguns.

There are several variants of the CZ75, which seems to be the most popular. Anyone have any good info on these and what variants are the best? I was talking with a seller of a CZ, who didnt even know which CZ he had to sell. I am curious what might be the biggest differences and the most sought after CZ.

Are the better than or comparable to say a 1911 or Browning?

All depends what you want to do with it......

I have 7. The shadow 2 is by far my favorite for the range. An absolute tac driver.
The Sp-01 tactical is my HD.

Biggest difference would be grip angles and features like safety,decocker,sights and trigger.

CZ makes high quality firearms at a reasonable price. I've owned 3 but sold them all, mostly due to wanting the next thing I have my eye on. I'd say I like the Hi Power and 1911 a bit better.

No but almost all can be easily converted to SAO with Cajun Gun Works parts.

The CZ tactical Sport is SAO , and has a nice size grip. Would recommend to someone looking for a SAO target pistol with extremely low muzzle flip.

I love the look and feel of the 1911, but I dont like the idea of having to flip a manual safety. If the CZ 75 or 97 are comparablr, but do not need to be SAO, then you can carry without the safety engaged

Me buying SP-01 Tactical resulted in selling my Glock and Sig, then followed by me buying SP-01 with manual safety and Shadow 2. I will be buying 97B soon. If I could carry, it would have been P-01 or P-07. I can say with very high confidence that my relationship with CZ will last a lifetime. I am glad I discovered CZ and 1911 so early in this hobby.

my dad has a CZ75B, its a bit heavy but it shoots really well. I like it, plus I bought it for him so theres that.

I have an sp01 and really like the heavy weight for target shooting. Trigger is pretty good out of the box and the price is very reasonable for what you get. I sent my spo1 to cajun gun works and it is now my favorite 9mm to shoot took the trigger from good to excellent. I own glocks sigs and an m&p and they are all good but haven't been able to put my cz down lately.

I like the PCR and P01 the most out of the Cz's iv'e owned/shot. They are both da/sa decocker only and are about the same size as a Glock 19.

I wasn't interested in CZs at the beginning because of the slide which rides much lower and is sometimes harder to rack. My LGS convinced me to try an SP-01 and it was all over. It became my favorite gun almost immediately because of it's great grips, smooth feel and amazing accuracy. It fits me like a glove and has been 100% reliable. The DA/SA SP-01 is my favorite of the lower-budget FS CZs thanks to the heavier front end and excellent sights. At $600 street, it's a steal.
I've since bought a Tactical Sport which is my new #1 favorite, but is not a good bedside gun. Try one, you definitely won't regret it. (That's what everybody told me, and they were right!)
